UNDUK NGADAU Favorite On Facebook

My friend, Mr. David Chong of David Aramitii Video & Photography launched a Facebook page to select the Favorite Miss UNDUK NGADAU in conjunction with the Pesta Kaamatan (Harvest Festival) held every year, on the 30th and 31st of May. After the voting was closed at approximately 9:00 am, Ms. Ritchel Andreas representing the Ranau District, won the title with the votes of 3,035. Congratulation to Ms. Ritchel.

The Finals, UNDUK NGADAU 2013

Hello eveyone. These are the photos I took during the UNDUK NGADAU (Harvest Festival Queen) contest held at K.D.C.A. (Kadazandusun Cultural Association) Hall, at Penampang. The contestants donning their respective district's ethnic dress that day, 31 May, 2013. From 40 contestants, 15 of them are chosen to the Question & Answer session and...

11. Ms. Shanen Brenda Engelbert Lim of Papar

12. Ms. Imelda Lim Chiew Chen of Kota Belud

They are given another chance to catwalk their ways to the judges desk for the final selection of 7 contestants for the chance to proceed to the Question and Answer session, and ultimately, to select the new UNDUK NGADAU Queen for the year 2013.

After the Question and Answer session is over the decision have been made by the judges that after a very intense and careful deliberation, the judges gives the title of the UNDUK NGADAU Queen for the year 2013 to..... MS. IMMACULATE LOJUKI, representing the district of Kota Kinabalu.

Followed by 1st. runner-up, Ms. Ritchel Andreas representing Ranau District, 2nd. runner-up, Ms. Nillsey Debbie Sening representing Tuaran District, 3rd. runner-up, Ms. Dianna Gilbert for Putatan District, 4th. runner-up, Ms. Didie Phang of Penampang District, 5th. runner-up, Ms. Ledesma Steven for Klang Valley, Selangor D.E. and the 6th. runner-up goes to Ms. Sarah Cleophas Gorotud representing Tambunan District. Congratulation to all of them. May they carry the title with honor and to be our Ambassador of Culture & Goodwill.. All the best.

Sodop Unduk Ngadau

I took these photos of the UNDUK NGADAU contestants doing their catwalk in modern evening dress and 7 of them are donning the creative ethnic evening dress to showcase the intricate work of the fashion designer in incorporating the spirit of the traditional dress of the Kadazandusun into a beautiful & stunning evening dress. I would like to apologize to Ms. Banggi because I was busy looking the other way when she's doing her catwalk, therefore I was not able to take her photo. :)
